Inktober prompt – Husky
Considering that my Inktober theme is concerning animals I made a kind of obvious choice today, but it’s too enjoyable to draw one of these fluffy guys rather than try and come up with something “clever” and non-obvious.
Did you know that the word husky comes from the word English sailers used to refer to the indigenous Arctic people, Eskimos – Huskies is a shortened form of Huskimos.
The dogs were originally bred and kept by Inuit people and played an important part in daily life. They were trained for sledding and work, not for a gentle walk round a city park on a hot day – but they’re very adaptable.
This was painted with Sakura archival black ink on Canson 180gsm bright white heavy paper.
